Privacy Policy

Overview

LifePilot (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) is a personal life management assistant that helps you organise tasks, phone call plans, expenses, loans, bills, reminders, journal entries, cycle tracking, documents, and related everyday information. LifePilot is designed as a local-first app: your everyday data stays on your device. This Privacy Policy explains what information is used and how.

Information we collect

• Content you create in the app — for example tasks, notes, expenses, loans, bills, journal entries, goals, scheduled calls, call trees, period/cycle entries, home/vehicle records, and document metadata.
• Contacts you choose to import — names and phone numbers you select from your device address book (with permission), stored locally for call plans, groups, and SMS compose.
• Attachments you add — such as photos, receipts, or PDFs stored as files on your device with metadata in the local database.
• App settings — preferences such as notification or security options you configure.
• Device permissions data — such as notifications, contacts, phone/dialer, camera, or photos/files when you grant them — used only for those features.

LifePilot does not require a LifePilot account, does not operate a LifePilot cloud backend for everyday sync, and does not sell personal data.

How we use information

• To provide app features such as lists, reminders, call plans, call trees, SMS compose helpers, Tools (world clock, QR, barcode, compass, measure, digital ruler, voice recorder, calendar, PDF scanner, calculator), summaries, search, calendar sync, and reports on your device.
• To schedule local notifications when you enable them (using your device timezone).
• To open your Phone or Messages app when you choose to place a call or send SMS — LifePilot does not place cellular calls or send SMS silently in the background.
• To create backups you request — Pro Google Drive backup & restore to a folder you control (LifePilot), including attached files.
• To process subscriptions through Google Play or the Apple App Store when you purchase Pro.

Google Drive (optional, Pro)

If you enable Google Drive backup, LifePilot communicates directly with Google using your authorization. Backups are stored in a folder you control (typically My Drive / LifePilot). LifePilot does not upload your data to a developer-controlled Drive account. After you connect once, LifePilot can remember your Google account on this device so you are not prompted every time; you can remove it in Settings.

Google OAuth tokens are stored using the device’s secure storage mechanisms, not as plain fields in the app database.

Subscriptions & store services

Purchases and subscription status are handled by Google Play Billing and/or Apple StoreKit. Those platforms process payment information according to their own privacy policies. LifePilot does not run a custom payment gateway or LifePilot billing server.

Usage analytics

The LifePilot website and the Android and iOS apps use Google Analytics to understand which pages and screens are used. This records page or screen names, such as Home or Tasks, along with standard device and browser information Google Analytics collects. It does not include the contents of your tasks, notes, expenses, documents, contacts, or other records you create in the app. Screen names are route patterns, so individual record identifiers are not sent.

Website measurement uses Google tag G-CW8V3925K0. The apps send usage through Firebase Analytics for the LifePilot Firebase project. Google’s processing of that data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Sharing

• We do not operate a LifePilot backend that receives your tasks, expenses, notes, or attachments for everyday use.
• Optional Google Drive and store billing services receive only what is required for those features you choose to use.
• We may disclose information if required by law if we ever receive a valid legal request related to the service website or store listing.

Permissions

• Notifications / alarms – optional; for reminders, due dates, and call alerts.
• Contacts – optional; to import people you choose for calls, groups, and SMS.
• Phone / dialer – optional; to open or place a call when you choose.
• Camera / photos / files – optional; for journal photos, document attachments, QR/barcode scan, measure, and PDF scanning.
• Microphone – optional; for voice recorder and the Voice record widget.
• Location – optional; for compass map/satellite view and Measure plot mode.
• Calendar – optional; for syncing important dates, task due dates, and bills to your phone calendar.
• App lock (PIN) – optional; PIN is stored only on your device to protect opening the app.
• Internet – for optional Drive backup/restore, store subscription operations, usage analytics, and opening website or WhatsApp links you tap.

Denying a permission does not crash the app; related features show guidance instead.

Data retention

Your LifePilot data remains on your device until you delete it from the app or uninstall the app. Uninstalling LifePilot removes locally stored app data according to your operating system’s normal behavior. Backups you placed in Google Drive remain in your Drive until you delete them; LifePilot does not automatically delete your Drive files when Pro expires.

Children

LifePilot is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through our contact channels, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
